Another beautiful Icon of Saint Basil of Ostrog in front of monastery Ostrog which he had built by himself. He was the Serbian Orthodox Metropolitan of Zahum and Herzegovina. He died peacefully in the Lord on April 29, 1671, leaving behind his incorruptible relics, which are still uncorrupted and miracle-working to the present day. The miracles at the grave of St. Basil are without number. He is also knows as Basil of Ostrog and Tvrdos the Miracle-worker. The halo around his head is a symbol of the divine light or holiness. He holds a Gospel and is dressed in bishop's clothes.
