This is the Icon of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-flowing, in the world Stefan Nemanja, who was the founder of the most important Serbian dynasty - Nemanjici and later a monk, and saint from 12th century. He is the father of St. Sava of Serbia. He is called Myrrh-flowing because one year after his death holy oil seeped from his relics. It is written that this miracle didn't occur in the past three centuries. Even today his relics give forth a sweet smell. He holds his memorial church Studenica Monastery dedicated to the Theotokos.
